Winners announced at the HM Awards

The 2025 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence, presented by Sealy Posturepedic, was a night to remember, with 830 industry leaders gathering at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney for a night of celebration.

Marking its 23rd year, the HM Awards had become an annual highlight, honouring the top people, properties, departments, projects, chains and hotel brands across the Australasia-Pacific region. After an overwhelming response to submissions, this year’s entries once again showcased the remarkable depth of talent across the hotel industry in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

A total of 48 categories were presented on the night, with deserving winners recognised across the spectrum – from Front Office Associate to Hotelier of the Year. The calibre of nominees was second to none, reflecting the strength and diversity of the industry.

Two Award Nights, One Industry Celebration

The HM Awards will return in 2026 with two prestigious events celebrating excellence in accommodation and hospitality across the region.

  • Aotearoa-Pacific HM Awards: To be announced
  • Australasian HM Awards: Friday 20 November 2026

Celebrating its third year in Aotearoa and its twenty-fourth year in Australasia, the HM Awards continue to recognise outstanding achievements across hotels, people, departments, and brands.

With over 1,800 nominations received annually, the HM Awards are regarded as the must-attend awards celebration for the accommodation and hospitality industry.

Training at the Heart of Development

The 2025 HM Awards raised funds for hospitality training charity, Sala Baï. Launched in 2002, Sala Baï Hotel and Restaurant school is a program created by French NGO Agir Pour le Cambodge (APLC) in partnership with Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, to fight poverty and human trafficking through social and professional training of young underprivileged Cambodians.

There are multiple ways you can get involved and help us raise funds for this important charity:

Sponsor a student

Sala Baï is on a mission to offer 150 young underprivileged Cambodians free training each year. However, training costs amount to $5000 per student. To support a student’s training, you can make a pledge of $500 or $1000.
