Our MC
Larry Emdur
And the Gold Logie goes to ………
2024 was a massive year for Larry Emdur. A Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian television, a Silver Logie for Most Popular Presenter, two top rating tv shows (The Morning Show and The Chase), two major awards for his newly launched whisky The Ben Buckler.
Larry simply set out to make 60 bottles of whisky for 60 mates for 60th birthday and accidentally created Australia’s favourite new (international award-winning) single malt whisky which is noisily disrupting the market.
Larry has grown up on our tv screens, he’s been right there in our loungerooms for over 40 years. He’s known as TV’s Mr Nice Guy and TV’s most axed man and he’s equally proud of both titles.
Larry is best known for hosting some of the world’s biggest game show formats including The Main Event, The Wheel of Fortune and ofcourse multiple series of the iconic The Price is Right. In 2021 Larry took over as host of top-rating The Chase Australia
In 2025 Larry and co-host Kylie Gillies celebrated 18 years of ratings dominance on channel 7’s The Morning Show.
Larry is a successful author, his memoir “Happy As” reaching best-seller status, he’s also an award-winning film producer.
Larry has sailed the Sydney to Hobart three times to raise money for The Humpty Dumpty Foundation, at 50 he was voted Men’s Health Magazine Celebrity Man of the Year becoming their oldest cover guy, a title previously held by a then 45-year-old Hugh Jackman. He also failed miserably on Dancing with the Stars but would much rather talk about the Sydney to Hobart or the Men’s Health Cover.
